What inspired this collection?
Watching stars and chasing space phenomena are some of my favorite things to do. Working with sterling silver seemed like the perfect fit to connect shiny space with shiny silver. Space is very unique with this collection. I wanted to try a couple different techniques I’ve never used to see what kind of unique space inspired pieces could be produced. Another thing I loved about a space theme is that it’s not limited to one color; all the colors exist in space from black holes to red sun flares so that gave me a wide variety of gems to work with.
Tell us about yourself! What do you do outside of Gem Studio? I am a pre med student currently attending UVU. I don't love school work but I really enjoy the social aspects of attending a university. I love the outdoors and especially love the ocean. It's my favorite place on earth. I grew up here in Farmington Utah where I really grew to love the mountains and everything you can do in them. My dad is from Cali so when I was young he taught me how to surf and that has easily become my favorite thing to do ever, so if you tryna take weekend trips to Cali hmu!
What are you most passionate about? I’m super passionate about people I guess lol. My friends and family are what make my life so enjoyable. I love meeting new friends and going on fun adventures anytime and anywhere. I just love being with people and having a great time creating memories. I am a firm believer in enjoying the “now” especially at my age. It's easy to want the next thing and to not be a port college student but the best times come when we can really just enjoy where we are at in life! Have fun no matter what you are doing!

What’s your favorite thing to do in Utah?
I love to snowboard in Utah, it’s one of the few things to do to make the winter worth it. Catch me on the mountain every Saturday and some weekdays! I also love going on hikes that lead to hot springs! Always a good time and they are super pretty destinations.
What do you want to manifest in your life over the next year? This year I’d love to travel more and keep enjoying life, with work and school keeping me busy. I want to work on making time for travel. I’d also like to keep studying hard in school get good grades and really study and work in something I am passionate about
What is your favorite gem, and why? My favorite gem is rosarita, rosarita with a tall plain bezel is the sexiest thing ever sooo good looking
What is your favorite part of the silversmithing process? My favorite part is for sure burning. It's so satisfying and really makes the ring look the best!
What's your favorite gem studio memory? My fav memory would have to be meeting and hanging out with all my coworkers they have become some of my good friends and I love spending time with them inside and out of gem
