Tell us about yourself! What do you do outside of Gem Studio?

Outside of the Gem Studio I am a professional online shopper haha. I also work at Free People, have a marketing internship at Babe Lash, and another marketing internship with The House That Lars Built! When I’m not working I love spending time with friends and making memories! Traveling is also cool.

What inspired this collection?

I love blues and white stones a lot, so it was fun to implement that into a collection! Cloud 9 is such a fun concept where you love life and everything is going great! I loved all these rings so it felt awesome when they were completed, just like being on cloud 9.

What are you most passionate about?

Currently, I’m really passionate about the dark chocolate covered watermelon sticks at Trader Joe’s! They sound like the weirdest thing, but if you haven’t tried them stop what you’re doing and run! When you’re there stop and look at the flowers, they’re nice too.

What is currently playing on your Spotify/Apple Music?

First, Apple Music or nothing! I love music, my favorite thing is Thursday night at 10pm when all the new music comes out for the week. I love The Killers, King of Leon, Phoenix, and Bon Iver is nice, too!

What do you want to manifest in your life over the next year?

I want to manifest that Kanye West finally drops an album. periodt.

What is your favorite gem, and why?

I love white buffalo because it’s always so cool and unique! The colors of the stone go with everything and no matter how simple the ring is, this stone still makes it look cool. It’s rare in the studio so if you see it, use it!

What is your favorite part of the silversmithing process?

I love thinking of the ring and then executing it. Seeing your image come to life is always so fun. The best part is also how your goal for the ring changes throughout the process. It’s a very creative experience!

What is your favorite gem studio memory?

My favorite Gem Studio memory would have to be when I got acrylics thinking I would be able to teach with them. That was a fail so I just went to the lapidary machine and ground them off in the middle of the workshop #silversmith
