Tell us about thrifthood and what you are
The name Thrifthood originated from the word neighborhood. We wanted to create a strong community and help bring more individualized clothing styles to the people of Utah. We specialize in finding your favorite old school fit from a variety of vintage clothing styles from the 80’s, 90's, and early 2000's.
How was thrifthood started? What was the hardest part of opening the business?
Thrifthood happened all by accident… but really, it’s so wild! Sissy was styling friends for fun and Albee was the guru of reselling honestly everything! Never did we think it would be ”us” to start a business together but we soon realized that it was magic!
How much have you grown since you opened?
Y’all ever heard of growing pains?? Ha!
Both as a business but as people we’ve grown in a lot of ways. Small business is hard, however, it’s so worth it and more rewarding than anything else.
What has been the most exciting part of your two year anniversary?
wow, the two year anniversary has felt so surreal! everything about it has felt exciting but above the excitement we are humbled and SO grateful. Grateful for the opportunities Thrifthood has given us. Grateful to
work with the best team out there! Last and certainly not least, grateful to every single person that has walked through our doors, it’s because of them that we can even celebrate two years!
Is there anything exciting in the works for thifthood this year?
YES! This saturday is our Grand Opening of Sneakerhood an extension to Thrifthood that has been in the works for a while!
Where do you see thrifthood being in 5 years?
In 5 years time we see multiple locations, our own clothing brand and working with the Utah Jazz!! Manifestation amirite?! continuing to do all we can to create an environment and community of inclusivity, kindness and love.
What is your dream collaboration?
Honestly, there’s so many that we can’t choose. So we will say this, our biggest dream is that one day we will be someone’s else’s DREAM collaboration.

What is your favorite memory from your last two years at thrifthood?
Gosh, I feel like I’ve said it so many times but just getting to meet everyone that walks through our doors! Thrifthood has brought so many opportunities our ways it's incredible.
